Healing Grief
Grief and Loss is an unavoidable part of our human expereince. Most people will experience at least one event of loss in their lives. Everyone grieves a loss in their own way. Each person will have a different response and experience of loss depending on the type of loss, how close they were to the object or person, the suddenness of the loss and value they placed on that loss.
Grief may include the loss of anything or anyone that was important to us. Most often it is the death of a loved one, including miscarriages, abortions or pets. However grieving may also be experienced in the loss of connection to people, loosing friends, neighbours or work associates. Grieving may also be experienced when there is a loss of something important to us, such as a home, job, health and abilities.
